Approaching landscape and the sky

This body of work explores the wonders of landscape and the sky, in observational but romanticised approach, through drawing and painting images. Science began to have big impact on my own perception and understanding of the world’s creation and origin, in knowledge of the complexity and dynamic elemental energies. I am looking at aspects where science and romantic perhaps religion interpretations of the All, can bound and link together.  My approach to the representation of the outer world is shaped both with poetic attachment to the hidden qualities of natural things. The way of visualising landscape found expression in a painterly idiom of unusual bond and fluency, based on a constellation of my favourite motifs such as the clouds and the trees, the sun and the moon, the mountains and the horizon. These constitute a system of visible signs-a language development around the way that I chose to perceive my environment.

In studio, my practice takes a form of pencil, charcoal drawings and oil paintings. First-hand drawings are creating quiet but dynamic recordings of the landscapes and the skies, that are further developed in painting and scientific method.
Currently I am looking at paint as a material, that leads towards new experimental structures, colour palette and surfaces, through making paint shiny, dry, thick and thin, that had explored ways of building up layers on the canvas. Experimentation approach towards painting methods have created sense of serendipity (making discoveries by accidents and wisdom) in my practice, through painting as drawing approach.

Microcosm and macrocosm, the visionary and revolutionary comparability of the small and vast. I am approaching it by scientific observation, correspondingly within the settled romanticised visual aesthetic. By using lenses-based apparatuses such as telescope in my practice, I expanded my interest in scientific theories, especially the discussion of our origin of life, and although if it’s possible to terraform other reachable worlds, that are closest to us, our Moon and the planet Mars. With my continual research I am aiming to expand my interest in closer analysis of advancing observation of natural environment. With advancing science, as well as with my own spiritual perception, I am aiming to emphasize the extremely evolved and analysed ways of seeing, that creates a position of being closer to heaven or promised “blessed “land.

Philosophy by Timothy Morton began to form my  perception and understanding of the world and landscape narratives (stories that the landscape holds), in wisdom of the complexity and dynamic elemental energies. I am looking at aspects where science and romantic links together.
